The exhibition displayed the history of world-famous Izhevsk hunting weapons.

The great expertise of Izhevsk masters has been exemplified by the highest quality of the guns and unique decoration. At present Izhevsk hunting guns are exhibited in 48 countries of the world, won prices in several trade shows.

When in 1885 the Arms Plant started the production of hunting weapon at once it adorned a number of Russian and international exhibitions.

In ХХ century despite the hard time of the war Izhevsk workers not only maintained the hunting guns production but also developed a great number of new modern models.

Izhevsky Mechanichesky Zavod is the largest smooth-bore hunting guns manufacturer in the country.
Izhevsky Mashinostroitelny Zavod started production of hunting guns in post-war time. Later on the basis of famous battle models Kalashnikov gun and Dragunov rifle it developed models of hunting carbines.

The exhibition demonstrated the major milestones in the history of arms production. It presented samples of hunting guns of the late XIX century and early years of ХХ century produced by the Arms Plant and private factories; the achievements of Izhevsk plants of the second part of ХХ century: smooth-bore and combined rifles produced in 1950-1980-s at Izhevsky Mechanichesky Zavod, “Saiga” and “Tigr” hunting carbines produced at Izhevsky Mechanichesky Zavod, unique collection guns manufactured by the School of Arms Masterhood attached to Izhevsky Mechanichesky Zavod.
