He lived a long and difficult life.
The destiny of the designer wasn’t simple – tragedies and era contradictions refracted in it, including one of the greatest troubles of the country and the world – the Great Patriotic War, World War II.
    Kalashnikov, the wounded fighter in hospital ward, the twenty-two-year-old staff sergeant was inspired with idea of creation of the weapon, soldiers dreamed of – reliable, trouble-free, simple.
    Subsequently Mikhail Kalashnikov said: “I did not choose the weapon – the weapon chose me”. Really, this way was foreordained for him by destiny.
The designer left his mark in the history of technique, in the history of the world, in human destinies.
    Today we pay last respects and mourn.
